Crochet Cathedral Motif square

2 color schemes:  Use Red Heart Super Saver yarn
Color A:  Varies
Color B:  White


Cathedral motif in Crochet:

Chain 7 and join with a ss into a ring

Round 1:  Using Color A:   ch1,sc, (ch 4, 3dc, ch3, sc) repeat x 3 for a total of 4 clusters

Round 2:  (sc, ch 3, dc3tog*at top*, ch3, sc at top of ch 3 stitch, ch 2) repeat x3 for a      
total of 4 clusters.

Round 3: Using Color B:  Attach at the top of any dc3tog  (ch4, dc down to the starting
loop, ch 2, dc down to the starting loop, ch4) repeat x 3

Round 4:  ch 1 (2sc, 3dc in the ch2space below, ch3, 3dc in the ch2space below, 2sc) repeat x 3

Round 5:  ch 1 (sc, ch3) repeat all around then join with a ss to finish



Key:
ss = slip stitch
ch = chain
sc = single crochet
dc = double crochet
dc3tog = double crochet 3 together….dc once leaving 2 loops on hook, dc a second time leaving 3 loops on hook, dc a third time…there will be 4 loops on your hook …then wrap the yarn around and pull through all three to join into 1 at the top of the dc cluster.
